New York City Site Safety Training (SST) for Local Law 196

NYC DOB 30 Hour Site Safety Training (English)

In the light of Local law 196, New York City Department of Buildings has established certain laws and regulations regarding construction site safety for workers and supervisors/managers. Sites requiring Construction Site Safety Manager, Coordinator or Superintendent must first complete 40 hours of specific training to obtain their Site Safety Training (SST) card.

This package covers the following:

• 8-Hour Fall Prevention
• 8-Hour Elective Courses
• 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness
• 4-Hour Support Scaffold User & Refresher

NYC DOB 30 Hour Site Safety Training (Spanish)

A la luz de la Ley Local 196, el Departamento de Edificios de la Ciudad de Nueva York ha establecido ciertas leyes y reglamentos con respecto a la seguridad de los sitios de construcción para los trabajadores y supervisores/gerentes. Los sitios que requieren Gerente, Coordinador o Superintendente de Seguridad en Sitios de Construcción primero deben completar 40 horas de capacitación específica para obtener su tarjeta de Capacitación en Seguridad en el Sitio (SST).

This package covers the following:

8 Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher / Chapter 33 SAF-202

In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction worker and supervisor are required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides eight hours towards the satisfaction of the supervisor requirement.

To renew the Site Safety Manager license you need to take this NYC DOB approved 8-Hour Site Safety Manager Refresher Training course. This course can also be used to renew the Site Safety Coordinator certificate and the Construction Superintendent registration. This course is a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and the rules of the New York City related to site safety, including public safety. This 8-hour training course can also be used as part of the Supervisor SST Card training and is included in our 32 Hour Supervisor SST Package.

NYC - OSHA 30 Hour Construction (English)

In the light of Local law 196, New York City Department of Buildings has established certain laws and regulations regarding construction site safety for workers and supervisors/managers. Our NYC OSHA 30 hour training is Actively proctored and complies with NYC DOB regulations.

This course includes the following:

• NYC OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry Outreach
• Printable Certificate of Completion
• OSHA Department of Labor Card

NYC - OSHA 30 Hour Construction (Spanish)

NYC 40 Hour SST Course for Workers (OSHA 10 + 30 Hour SST)

The NYC 40-Hour Site Safety Training is the mandatory training required by the Department of Buildings New York for construction workers. The Training consists of two sections; OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training and the 30-Hour Site Safety Training which consists of 5 different site safety specific training courses. The training is taken online and upon successful completion results in the OSHA 10-Hour card and subsequently the 40-Hour Site Safety Training Card.

4 Hour Supported Scaffold User & Refresher SST

Supported scaffold user training and refresher training program provides a basic explanation of supported scaffolds and supported scaffold components. The course will introduce the elements of supported scaffold safety and common supported scaffolds hazards while placing an emphasis on hazard reduction and prevention which includes fall protection, scaffold inspections, hazard recognition, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
