62-Hour Site Safety Supervisor Training

New York City 40 Hour Site Safety Training

Who needs to take 62-Hour Site Safety Supervisor Training?

Under the local law of 196 of 2017 (NYC department of buildings), Supervisors at job sites with a site safety plan are required to receive 62 hours of site safety training. This training is required for Site Safety Managers, Site Safety Coordinators, Construction Superintendents, Concrete Safety Managers and competent persons selected by Construction Superintendents.

Duties of a Site Safety Supervisor

Construction supervisors are responsible for the management and safety of construction projects. They are required to create a safe and efficient workplace through planning, organizing, and controlling projects. Site supervisors monitor the progress of projects and also make sure that safety requirements are followed. They oversee construction workers and subcontractors, instruct them in site safety procedures, and assess worker performance.
