how to Get your 2023 updated sst Card

The SST card is a certification/proof that you have successfully completed your training with an authorized Department of Buildings training provider. It is mandatory training required to work on most construction projects in New York City. The training can be taken either online or in a classroom setting.

If you have previously taken the training but lost your SST card, it can be reacquired. You will need to apply for a copy of your new updated SST card with OSHA Training School even if you had taken the training with another course provider.

Following are the documents required to apply for a copy of your SST card

  • A picture of your OSHA 30-Hour Card Front and Back
  • A picture of your Photo ID Front and Back
  • You need to submit a clear, passport-like photo taken against a light background, with no headgear, shadows, etc. Typically, a simple portrait photo taken against the wall would be acceptable.
  • A picture of your Old 40 Hour SST Card

Important Note:

The new one-card NYC DOB Training Connect card will be the only SST identification card DOB will accept as valid proof of worker site safety training beginning February 1, 2023. The new NYC DOB Training Connect SST ID card will replace all previously issued SST ID cards.
