Warninig Signs

Warning signs also called hazard signs, are designed to inform individuals about possible dangers or unsafe conditions. They often have a yellow background with black text and symbols. Some common examples of warning signs include:

  • Slippery When Wet: Warn people to be careful when walking on a wet surface, as it may become slippery.
  • High Voltage: This indicates that there's high electrical voltage in the area, which can be dangerous.
  • Toxic Chemical: Alerts individuals to the presence of dangerous chemicals that can cause harm through inhalation, ingestion, or skin contact.
  • Hot Surface: This shows that a surface is hot and could cause burns upon contact.
  • Forklift Operating Area: Watch out for forklifts in this area and be careful to avoid accidents.

Mandatory Signs

Mandatory signs indicate actions that must be taken or behaviors that are required. These hazard safety signs usually have a blue background with white text and symbols. The following are some examples of mandatory signs:

  • Wear Hard Hat: Instruct individuals to wear a hard hat for safety within the specified area.
  • Safety Glasses Must Be Worn: Highlights the necessity of wearing safety glasses to prevent hazards.

Prohibition Signs

Prohibition signs are used to denote actions or activities that are strictly prohibited within a specified area. These signs have black text on a white background and a red circle with a diagonal line through a symbol or image, indicating prohibition. Few Examples:

  • No Smoking: This sign shows that smoking is not allowed in the area because of fire safety or health reasons.
