Under Local Law 196, New York City requires construction supervisors to have a valid 62-hour Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST) card. If the card expires, supervisors can no longer oversee construction projects that require this certification. Getting an updated SST card is necessary to comply with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations and maintain eligibility for supervisory roles.
